It is fairly easy to enable and use Dynamic Lighting with a compatible LampArray device and a supported version of Windows 11. How to Enable Dynamic Lighting in Windows 11
Follow these steps to enable Dynamic Lighting on your Windows 11 PC:
- Click on the Start button icon in the taskbar area and select Settings.
- Go to Personalization > Dynamic Lighting.
- Turn on the toggle next to the Use Dynamic Lighting on my devices option.
Using Dynamic Lighting in Windows 11
To use Dynamic Lighting in Windows 11, connect your compatible RGB peripheral(s) using the USB ports on your system. Then go to Settings > Personalization > Dynamic Lighting.
This section allows you to manage global RGB lighting settings for all your compatible devices. To change individual device settings, select the device from the list of compatible devices shown on top.
Make sure Use Dynamic Lighting on my devices is enabled.
You can use the Compatible apps in the foreground always control lighting option to choose if third-party RGB control apps should have the ability to override the lighting controls set by Dynamic Lighting.
If you want to install vendor apps for advanced lighting controls, you can use the Background light control option to choose the order in which various background lighting controllers take precedence over one another.
Use the Brightness slider to control the brightness of the RGB lighting.
Use the Effects dropdown to change the color theme for the RGB lighting.
You can choose between the following options:
- Solid Color: Constantly displays the chosen color.
- Breathing: Only one color is used to turn on and off the lights.
- Rainbow: Cycles through the visible light spectrum.
- Wave: Uses two colors to create a wave effect.
- Wheel: Shows a spiral animation in two colors.
- Gradient: Displays two chosen colors.
Based on the selection, additional options will appear that allow you to further customize the lighting settings. For example, if you choose the ‘Rainbow’ effect, you will be able to change the Effect speed and the Direction in which the effect should play. For rest of the effects, you will be able to select the main and the secondary colors using the Color Selector or the Cutom colors option.

Disable Dynamic Lighting in Windows 11
If you are not a fan of RGB lighting, you can turn off Dynamic Lighting in Windows 11 by following the steps given below:
- Open the Windows Settings page and click on the Personalization option in the left panel.
- Click on Dynamic Lighting in the right panel.
- Turn off the toggle next to the Use Dynamic Lighting on my devices option.
